Smash Book Video Series: Introduction #1

smash stuff Hi everyone! Gretchen here bringing you a fun new video series talking about Smash Books. What’s a Smash Book? It’s an awesome product that is basically a scrapbook type journal that you put whatever makes you happy into (you just “smash” it in). What kind of “whatever?” That’s up to you! Photos, ideas, receipts, favorite quotes, notes, movie stubs, doodling, pictures from magazines, cards… whatever your little heart desires.

I was introduced to Smash Books by watching a fun video on the EK Success – K and Company product page covering just what they are. Haven’t seen the video? Check it out HERE.

What am I going to do with my Smash Book? I’m going to share it with all of you of course! Check out the video below and find out all the details… you’re invited to join in too!

So, what do you think? Do you want to join in and Smash it up with me? Do you have a Smash Book that you need to crack open and start using (because now is the perfect time!)? If you want to DIY it with your own, that would be awesome too! It’ll be a great exercise in creativity (to quote myself) and I invite you to join in the fun.

I would love to see what you create. Please upload your work into the Create Scrapbooks Flickr Gallery and share. The more the merrier!

“My Gratitude Project” Introduction & Free Design Files

Welcome to a brand new Create Scrapbooks project series called “My Gratitude Project”. On the live show today Terri & Jana shared the concept and introduced the series with free design files. The design files are FREE for this project in celebration of Create Scrapbooks one year anniversary this year… Thank YOU for your support of the Create Scrapbooks Live Show this past year!

There are several different ways you can participate in this project. You can simply print what you want to use out of the design files. Cover designs are made to slip right into a 4×6″ photo album (vertical orientation), or you can use any of these files on scrapbook layouts, cards, mixed media, or other types of journals and art projects.

This is a series, so there will be several files coming your way in the next few months to finish this project – have fun and remind yourself how GOOD life is!

Click on image to download all these FREE designer files!

**Click here to download the 4×6″ cover/title page, 8.5×11″ printable titles/journaling starters and other embellishment elements together in a .zip file. There are blue and green covers included in this bundle of files. There are instructions/tips on how to use and print these on the 8.5×11 .pdf file. The covers are ready to print on a small 4×6″ sheet of cardstock or in a 4×6″ photo printer with photo paper.

There are more tips discussed on the live show, so make sure you watch the recording if you missed seeing it live today here (chat is recorded as well). To be notified of the latest files and live project happenings: “like” us on Facebookfollow us on twitter, or subscribe to our newsletter.

**NOTE: These files are for personal use only and were created by professional graphic designer Terri Bradford & founder of CreateScrapbooks.com. Feel free to use these files and share your creations using them on our Facebook wall here.  This project is best shared… share the love and tweet/share on facebook. Enjoy!
