Smash Book Video Series: Introduction #1

smash stuff Hi everyone! Gretchen here bringing you a fun new video series talking about Smash Books. What’s a Smash Book? It’s an awesome product that is basically a scrapbook type journal that you put whatever makes you happy into (you just “smash” it in). What kind of “whatever?” That’s up to you! Photos, ideas, receipts, favorite quotes, notes, movie stubs, doodling, pictures from magazines, cards… whatever your little heart desires.

I was introduced to Smash Books by watching a fun video on the EK Success – K and Company product page covering just what they are. Haven’t seen the video? Check it out HERE.

What am I going to do with my Smash Book? I’m going to share it with all of you of course! Check out the video below and find out all the details… you’re invited to join in too!

So, what do you think? Do you want to join in and Smash it up with me? Do you have a Smash Book that you need to crack open and start using (because now is the perfect time!)? If you want to DIY it with your own, that would be awesome too! It’ll be a great exercise in creativity (to quote myself) and I invite you to join in the fun.

I would love to see what you create. Please upload your work into the Create Scrapbooks Flickr Gallery and share. The more the merrier!

  1. I am following you! I bought one too & I need to be motivated or sparked to start filling it,,,,Thanks

  2. Love this idea Gretchen! I have been smashing for a while (before there was a name for it- thought it was just being “messy”) but so glad it is now recognized as a valid and realistic way of keeping track of ideas and fun things. Can’t wait to see what you do!

  3. Great introduction, G! I can hardly wait to see your first smash session! Also, you don’t have a junk drawer?! How are we friends? Oh right . . . you’re Felix. (I’m Oscar!)

  4. Gretchen, Cant wait for more on this smash book are there any other blogs ect to find mor info on this? Im looking forward to page ideas ect.

  5. Thanks for sharing your new hobbie. I just bought 2 Smashbooks and have slowly started to work in them. I have to leave them out so I always see them and remember that I want to keep adding to them. I look forward to your next video on what you have created. My scrapping store now has blue and pink Smash stix so I will be getting those soon :)

  6. I have never been into scrap booking but as an artist & designer use sketch books all the time. As soon as I saw the Smash book I was so excited and had to get one straight away. I found it a little difficult as I am in the UK and I don’t know whether they have filtered through much yet, but I now have my red doodle book and have started filling it with all those cool little bits that didn’t really fit in my sketch book but I didn’t really want to throw away. And you’re right – you don’t need to use all the Smash products, as they were very hard too find for me, or just to expensive with the shipping from the US, I have raided my stash and found loads of cool envelopes, tape, pins etc to use. I love my Smash book.
